Media Relations Manager | Tech PR | London (Hybrid) | £40,000 - £50,000
About the Company
This independent communications agency has over a decade behind them and a sharp focus on technology. They help ambitious fintech, telecoms and enterprise brands, from young scale-ups to household names, become the voices their markets listen to. For those brands, the payoff is tangible: more customers, fresh funding, stronger hiring and a reputation that opens doors.
How they treat people matters as much as what they deliver. Theirs is a warm, forward-thinking team that enjoys itself, gives everyone room to try new ideas and backs you with serious investment in your growth.
About the Media Relations Manager Role
You’ll be the go-to expert on press and journalist relationships. Alongside looking after your own, core set of high-profile tech brands, you’ll advise colleagues across the business on how to shape stories and win coverage, so your opinion will carry real weight.
Your days will involve:
-
Designing media plans that match each brand’s goals, budget and the bigger picture
-
Taking big moments to the press, from launches, funding rounds and research releases to campaigns, leadership profiles and topical commentary
-
Fronting the agency's approach to national titles and guiding colleagues on who to target and when
-
Growing a network of key reporters, writers and influencers across your sectors
-
Watching the news cycle and industry trends to find openings others might miss
-
Measuring what lands, gathering journalist feedback and recommending what to do next
-
Adding media thinking to proposals for prospective brands, and joining pitches when your expertise is needed

-
Circa 3-6 years working in tech PR or media relations in a busy, fast-moving setting
-
A proven record of landing coverage in national, business, trade and sector press
-
Deep familiarity with the reporters, writers and influencers who matter in technology, and genuine relationships with them
