Job description

Client & Contractor Support Specialist

Remote working | Full-time W-2 employment
Basic salary: $65,000–$70,000 | Total first-year earning potential: $70,000–$80,000
Applicants must be based in North America within the Eastern, Central or Mountain time zones.
Working hours: 9am–5pm Eastern, with some flexibility when required.

Are you someone who enjoys untangling a problem, reassuring a worried caller and making sure nothing gets overlooked?

My client helps recruitment businesses manage the operational demands of employing and paying contract workers. Offering payroll, employer of record, funding and back-office support, they enable recruitment firms to focus on winning business and placing candidates, while ensuring contractors receive reliable support throughout their assignments. Due to continued growth, my client is now recruiting a Client & Contractor Support Specialist to help recruitment businesses and their contract workers navigate the administration behind each assignment. You’ll join a small team where your ability to combine personable service with accurate, dependable follow-through will make a daily difference.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll look after enquiries from both workers and recruitment contacts, making sure they receive useful answers and know what happens next. Working alongside operations and payroll colleagues, you’ll handle matters throughout the assignment lifecycle.

Your remit will cover:

  • Helping new starters complete the necessary documentation, checks and account setup before their assignments begin.

  • Explaining pay, timesheet and benefits information, and helping workers resolve related queries.

  • Handling incoming calls and emails, prioritising requests and following outstanding issues through to completion.

  • Updating recruitment contacts on their workers’ progress and collecting the information needed to set up new assignments.

  • Responding to routine employment classification and compliance enquiries, referring matters requiring specialist judgement to the appropriate colleague.

  • Coordinating administrative steps when assignments finish, including records and final payment arrangements.

You’ll get to know the people you support over time, becoming a dependable contact who anticipates questions and keeps communication moving.

What you’ll bring

You’ll need a minimum of three years’ experience in a relevant support role, with practical exposure to areas such as HR administration, employee onboarding, benefits enquiries, payroll queries or client service.

Experience within recruitment, outsourced employment services or payroll would be particularly relevant. A background in a smaller professional business would also be useful.

My client would like to hear from you if you:

  • Communicate with warmth and clarity, including when someone is concerned or frustrated.

  • Keep a reliable record of requests and actions while juggling a busy workload.

  • Check information carefully and understand the impact that administrative errors can have on people.

  • Take responsibility for moving issues forward and providing updates without prompting.

  • Enjoy working collaboratively and want an opportunity to develop lasting working relationships.

An HR qualification, previous experience working remotely or examples of using technology to improve administrative processes would strengthen your application.

The package

The position offers a basic salary of $65,000–$70,000, supplemented by performance-related payments each quarter. Total earnings in the first year are targeted at $70,000–$80,000.

Health coverage and a competitive leave allowance are also included, alongside the opportunity to work remotely as part of a closely connected team.
