ACCOUNT MANAGER – DRINKS PR – Salary circa £34-£39k DOE
I have a brilliant opportunity for a drinks PR specialist to join one of the leading PR agencies in this space. If you’re looking to join a dynamic, close-knit team, working on a mix of blue-chip and premium brands, this could be a brilliant role for you. This position is ideal for someone who has deep sector knowledge – knows all the key drinks press – and is looking to explore what it could be like working for a new agency.
WHAT WILL THE ACCOUNT MANAGER DO?
Aside from the traditional account management duties, this role is primarily a media-relations focused position, so it requires someone who has solid media contacts and enjoys running press office accounts. Day-to-day, you’ll be helping lead the team to deliver excellent results, so you’ll be well versed in different ways to achieve top-tier coverage for clients (gifting, newsjacking, partnerships, listicle pitching etc.). Content writing will also be a critical part of this role including thought leadership bylines, social content, reactive commentary and ad-hoc marketing copy for clients, so a flair for compelling copy will be advantageous.
THE IDEAL ACCOUNT MANAGER
- Must come from a PR agency background – ideally within the F&B sphere – candidates from non-Public relations backgrounds will not be considered
- Proven understanding of the drinks media landscape including examples of delivering tier one coverage
- A strong writer, able to write appropriate content for a variety of platforms – someone who enjoys this would be ideal
- Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail
- Must have a genuine passion for the drinks sector, ideally wine with a solid understanding of current trends, emerging brands, and consumer preferences.
- Confident client handler with demonstrable ability to manage clients day-to-day with little senior support.
