What the job entails
As Account Director, you will act as a trusted strategic adviser to clients, developing long-term communications and campaign plans while ensuring day-to-day activity supports their wider objectives. You will lead account strategy, identify opportunities and risks, oversee the quality of client-facing work, and use your media and ecosystem network to generate impactful results.
You will support and develop account teams, manage workloads, coach junior and mid-level colleagues, and take responsibility for the performance and progression of direct reports. The role also involves leading new business activity, identifying opportunities for organic account growth and contributing to agency-wide initiatives and decision-making as part of the senior team.
The position is permanent and based in London on a hybrid working basis.
Key requirements / What we look for
- At least five years’ relevant experience, ideally including agency work and in-house experience within venture capital or a technology start-up.
- Agency experience supporting technology businesses, particularly in AI, security, cyber security, quantum technology or deep technology.
- Strong strategic communications, writing, media relations and account-management skills.
- A well-established media and industry network, alongside confidence in new business and pitch leadership.
- Experience managing, coaching and developing junior and mid-level colleagues.
Compensation & Benefits
